Venue for SWL VII
Mexico City is a big city and transportation can be an issue. The conference will take place in the Historic Center, in which there are plenty of hotels and hostels, museums, archaeological treasures, Mexican restaurants and international cuisine, as well as sightseeing and shopping opportunities.
The conference (August 17-19) will take place at the Palacio de la Autonomía which belongs to the National Autonomous University of Mexico in Mexico City (Fundación UNAM-CELE). The Palacio is located few steps from the Zócalo (the main square). There is a map located at the bottom of this page.
The adjacent workshohps (August 20) will be held at the UNAM main campus, at the Institute for Philological Research. The so-called Ciudad Universitaria (University City) is in the southern part of Mexico City. The colonial neighborhoods of Coyoacán and San Ángel are very close by.
